Georgian Silver Design on our Pinterest Page

Georgian silver design images can be seen at the Silver Vaults Pinterest page. Images show items from shops at The London Silver Vaults dating from 1718 through to the 1830s. In anticipation of our new selling exhibition which opens Monday 2nd June 2014. You’ll find examples of early Baroque, Palladian and Renaissance-inspired styles as favoured by William Kent, French-influenced mid-18th century rococo and later rococo revival period silver featuring a-symmetrical swirling scroll decoration, and restrained neo-classical designs in sterling and Old Sheffield Plate from the 1770s to 1820s that were influenced by discoveries at Herculanaeum and the architecture and interiors of Robert Adam.
